About WBAAS

This Association is a major and prime Association of West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service. Our Association came into existence in the year 1975. The Government of West Bengal constituted a three-tier Cadre Service namely, Higher Audit & Accounts Service, State Audit & Accounts Service and Junior Audit & Accounts Service in the year 1971. Recruitment to the service started in the year 1973. With the passage of time, all the posts as earmarked for the Higher Audit & Accounts Service were encadred in West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service. In 2001, West Bengal Junior Audit & Accounts Service was also merged with West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service, thereby, at present; there is only one unified Service in the state. Members of this association have always been playing an important role in Audit & Accounts and management of financial activities of the state.
